Transformers began in 1984 with a cartoon series that spawned a world famous and higly sucessful toy and comic series that continues even today after 21 years in new and ecting formats.

 

A craze of the 1980's, Transformes were never a fad and grew a much respected and wide fan-base. The simple tale of a race of Transformer robots who. much like Earth's past, broke into civil war on their home planet of Cybertron (An industrial planet if the far reaches of the Galaxy), when some thrived for supremecy, has touched millions of kids growng up into adult life and continues to draw fans of a new generation.

 

Fueld by greed and power the Transformers split into two sides, the good - the Autobots led by the heroic Optimus Prime, and the bad - led by the maniachal Megatron, the latter wanting power, the Autobots seeking peace. After leaving Cyberton leaving a skeleton crew behind, the Autobots were persued by the Decepticons when they ran into a meteor shower. All of this happening whilst they passed through our Milky Way system (our galaxy), the Decepticons boarded the Autobots spaceship and Optimus Prime did the only thing he could crash land into the local nearby planet, Earth.

 

Both sides were rendered unconcious for four million years as Earth evolved from the mudalball planet to spawning live, the caveman, dinosaurs to the world we live in today. In the Earth year 1984, both sides were awakened when a ships probed was sent out to investigate the planet after the volcanoe erupted. Unfotunetly, it was a decepticon thatawoke first who restored his commrades, and to which giving them the upperhand made them try and seal in the Autobots in the mountain to which they crashed into for eterntiy.

 

But the Autobots did awake, thanks to a decepticon blunder, the probe reactivated the Autobots and both sides soon realised they were far from home and sought about getting back. Used earth-based vehicles to disguise themselves amonst the humans they slowly started their great adventure to get back home. Megatron, though had other ideas, to suck the planet dry of it's resources for Energy, not only to get them home but to conquer, for ionter-galactic domination! And thus the two sides started anew as rivalry and war broke out between the two once more, with the Autobots try to stop them and keep the peace, as well well as protect the life of all sentient beings and hopefully one day, get home.
